Fall Activ­i­ties for Alumni and Fam­i­lies

On Novem­ber 1 a group of alumni and fam­i­lies took in the sights, sounds and tastes of fall at Linvilla Orchards in Media, Penn­syl­va­nia. Par­tic­i­pants enjoyed a pic­nic lunch fol­lowed by an enter­tain­ing after­noon of activ­i­ties on the grounds of the 300-acre farm well known for its agri­cul­ture as well as its edu­ca­tional and recre­ational activities.

Alumni and guests were treated to a pri­vate hayride tour through the fields and orchards. The youngest atten­dees also enjoyed roast­ing marsh­mal­lows over the camp­fire, nav­i­gat­ing the corn maze, try­ing out the apple sling and tak­ing part in feed­ing the menagerie of ani­mals that make their home there.

After the orig­i­nal event date had to be resched­uled because of severe rain storms, the group that gath­ered on Novem­ber 1 ended up with a clear and dry day in which to par­tic­i­pate in the many activ­i­ties offered at Linvilla Orchards. The sun even made an appear­ance in late afternoon.
