Both cross coun­try teams fin­ished ninth at the CAC Cham­pi­onships with the women get­ting edged by one point for eighth.

The men’s sea­son was high­light­ed by fresh­man Richard Feeney, who became the ninth fastest run­ner in school his­to­ry with a time of 29:52 at the Hor­net Invi­ta­tion­al.

On the women’s side, a four-sport ath­lete in field hock­ey, lacrosse, track & field, and cross coun­try, Tristin Bur­ris, became the sec­ond fastest run­ner in school his­to­ry by run­ning a 19:31.90 at the Hor­net Invi­ta­tion­al on Oct. 7. A week lat­er, the native of Cam­den, Del., won the Delaware State Clas­sic on Oct. 15 in 20:29.82.
